Oath! It's Friday

Friday 15 November, 2019

In Parliament on Friday 15 November 2019, Chair of the Standing Committee on Economics, Tim Wilson MP raised the topic of The Banking and Finance Oath.

'In concluding, Wilson turns back to the Banking and Finance Oath, a topic which saw Phil Chronican become visibly moved in his response earlier today.

Shayne Elliott confirms that he is a signatory to the oath but says the bank could "probably do a better job" of encouraging other employees to get onboard.

Wilson seems satisfied with the answer.

"It's Friday," he says, smiling.

Indeed it is. And it is also the end of these proceedings.

Thank you for following and stay tuned for our coverage next week as the House Standing Committee on Economics turns to superannuation.'
