The Banking and Financial Services Oath’s focus on ethical and honest practices in order to create a sustainable and more just society is imperative to improving lives for millions of people. Through my role as a Graduate Analyst at the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority I have gained a much deeper understanding of how critical stability is in our banking and financial sector.
It is correct that we are too big to fail and that it is crucial that our industry and especially its leaders are serving the interests of the Australian community by being responsible, making ethical decisions and opposing others who are not acting with integrity or just intent. I wish to be a leader in this industry some day and I want to not only carry these values with me, but help build a generation of leaders who wish to achieve the same.
