With the banking climate everchanging, along with the infusion of new technology, it’s more imperative that ethics becomes a personal obligation and not just an option. If the customer’s understanding cannot keep up with all the changes, and the socioeconomic gap will inevitably widen.

With my parents being first generation immigrants, I feel a strong obligation to use my education and opportunities to help those who aren’t so privileged and have already gone through much struggle already. I’ve come to learn that ethics is not straightforward, conflicting choices involving the discussion of benefits and consequences. I would love to learn from established leaders and have an open discussion to be a better professional

The Oath

  • Trust is the foundation of my profession.
  • I will serve all interests in good faith.
  • I will compete with honour.
  • I will pursue my ends with ethical restraint.
  • I will help create a sustainable future.
  • I will help create a more just society.
  • I will speak out against wrongdoing and support others who do the same.
  • I will accept responsibility for my actions.
  • In these and all other matters;
    My word is my bond.
