I chose to go into financial services, even with no background in finance, because I knew there was so much more to the industry than money. I knew that financial services played a vital role in the community, by helping customers manage their money, providing holistic support to customers, and working with the wider community to provide funding for worthy causes.

I also appreciate that a post-Hayne world will provide the opportunity for the financial services industry to grow, innovate and rebuild. I wanted to be part of that .As a Graduate I have completed rotations as a Business Analyst and Change Analyst, across projects directly responding to findings from the Royal Commission. I recently completed a six-week skilled volunteer secondment, working with an Indigenous Organisation in the remote East Kimberley town of Kununurra.

I hope that the Young Ambassador program will provide me with a deeper understanding of ethics within the banking and finance Industry and enable me to engage in and encourage open discussion on the ethical issues facing the industry.

It is my hope that the financial services industry will flourish in a post-Hayne world, through greater transparency and by serving all interests in good faith.
