Take the Oath
The Banking and Financial Services Oath's annual renewal month is August. We chose August because for some it starts with a banker's holiday, and it seems a good day to ask individuals to self-reflect on the personal values they bring to their roles and how they can contribute to the positive impact their organisation has on society.
This August, look beyond your commitment and encourage others to reflect on their values and join you.
Ethical awareness relates to a person's ability to:
- recognise the negative consequences that a given situation will have on others
- question themselves about the issue
- discuss the dilemma with others
- act on the decision
