Amy is currently completing a Bachelor of Business Leadership and Commerce at Macquarie University with a major in Economics and minor in Political Economy and Social Policy. She has been a member of Macquarie University’s Merit List since 2015 and received several other awards for academic achievement such as the Faculty of Business and Economics Merit Certificate for Outstanding Academic Performance.

Amy is currently undertaking an internship in the Acquisitions Integration team at IBM after previously working in a range of customer service and sales roles in retail, hospitality and education.

Additionally, Amy’s extra-curricular involvement has included participation in Macquarie University’s Global Leadership Program, serving on the team and as an executive of student societies AIESEC in Macquarie University and TEDxMacquarieUniversity, and participation in the RBA Economics Competition. She is also a returned student advisor for Student Exchange Australia New Zealand, with whom she participated in a 10-month exchange program to France in 2013.

With a strong interest in economics and social issues, Amy wishes to pursue a career in banking and finance that will utilise her strengths to financially empower societies. She sees The BFO as a positive platform to promote and improve ethical behaviour throughout the banking and finance industry, facilitating a sustainable future for the industry and society alike.
