I believe The Banking and Finance Oath is a very important initiative for the industry. Financial Services is integral to the wider economy but lack a central professional body to guide ethical behaviour and encourage individual accountability. This weakness was highlighted during the recent royal commission by multiple media outlets. The Banking and Finance Oath helps fulfill this role, by meeting this important need and helping the industry strengthen its ethical foundation. 

The Oath
