Thomas Guy is currently studying Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Majoring in Economics) Double Degree at the University of Notre Dame. Tom has strong interests in commercial law, economics and social issues. This has seen him work as a Senior Paralegal for Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and the National Organising Call Centre for the Finance Sector Union.
Tom's passion for community involvement has seen him represent Freshwater Community Bank as an Ambassador in which he is training towards a Community Directorship role. This involves input into monthly Board meetings, Business Development Committee meetings, Sponsorship and Marketing meetings and events as well as running the Youth Development programs and assisting in the establishment and continuance of the Freshwater Community Bank Tertiary Scholarships.

During 2014, Tom was awarded Scholarships to continue his Law and Commerce Degrees in South Korea on Exchange at Sogang University, Seoul. In 2015, Tom has secured a number of Legal Clerkship's in Corporate Law Firms in Singapore and Malaysia as well as the Ernst and Young Career Compass Program. Further, in 2011 Tom completed a Leadership course in The Escorial, the Spanish Kings Summer Palace, Madrid, Spain.

Tom has participated in a number of co-curriculum activities such as winning the Notre Dame Entrepreneurial Business Challenge in 2014, receiving the Macquarie University Scholar Prize in 2011, membership of the Korean Scholar Society and Cheung Kong Society, membership of Warrane College, participating in the Sir Anthony Mason Constitutional Essay Competition, Governor General Essay Competition and the Mont Pelerin Societies' International Essay Competition, founding the Mens Rea Society, Toastmasters as well as a range of sports and volunteer programs.

Tom shares a commitment and passion with the other BFO signatories to promote and improve ethical standards across the banking and finance industry, especially in regards to students and graduates entering the industry.
